How can I purchase a policy?

CSPI Production Insurance is available to Quote, Purchase and Print online 24/7.

CSPI Production Insurance offers an entirely web-based system to get a quote, purchase a policy and print all your documents. You can purchase your policy any time, day or night. Once you have purchased a policy, you can login to add an Additional Insured and print a Certificate of Insurance immediately, online.

Is this an annual policy or a short term policy?

All of our policies are annual policies and are not available on a short term basis.

Is this insurance policy auditable?

Yes, an auditable insurance policy means the premium listed on your policy is estimated and you may be charged or refunded at the end of the policy term. In order for you to get the most accurate policy cost, make sure that you estimate your future income and expenses as accurately as possible.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Credit Cards, Checks, Electronic Checks, and we also offer an automated Installment Plan.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

Requests to cancel a policy must be made in writing 48 hours prior to the requested cancellation date. A refund may be subject to a 25% minimum earned premium. Please send your request to support@cspi.com. If you have any questions, contact Creative Studios Production Insurance.

How do I file a claim?

It's easy to file a claim with CSPI Production Insurance. Our claims representatives are ready to help you during business hours. Call 1-800-364-2433 from Monday – Friday 5:30am to 5:00pm PT and a CSPI representative will assist you in filing your claim.

For after-hours claims reporting, call 1-888-347-3428 to report a claim 24/7.

What coverage options are available?

CSPI Production Insurance offers comprehensive coverage options including:

What is Liability Insurance coverage?

Commercial General Liability coverage up to $6 million provides insurance protection for claims of bodily injury or property damage that may arise out of your film production activities. Often, this coverage is required prior to filming by a location, city or state that requires film permits. Limits start at $1M/$2M. For higher limits, see the Excess Liability section.

Products/Completed Operations
$1,000,000 of Products/Completed Operations coverage is included. Optional limits of up to $2,000,000 are also available.

Damage to Rented Premises
$100,000 of Damage to Premises coverage is included. Optional limits of up to $1,000,000 are also available.

Medical Expense
Medical Payments coverage pays reasonable medical expenses for each person who is injured, up to the specified limit, without consideration of who is at fault. Medical Payments coverage often helps avoid lawsuits. Your liability policy comes with $5,000 of medical payments. You can increase this coverage up to $10,000.

Railroad Contractual Liability
This option extends the Commercial General Liability insurance to include coverage for photo shoots on railroad owned property.

How do I make changes to my policy?

Additional Insureds can be added by signing into your account. All other changes to your policy must be requested in writing. Please email requested changes to support@cspi.com. Once we receive your request, we will process the change. Once the change is complete, you will receive an e-mail with a change endorsement and corrected documents.

How do I print a Certificate of Liability?

You will have the opportunity to add a Certificate of Liability when purchasing your policy. If you need to add a Certificate of Liability to your policy later, sign in to our online platform with your username and password. Select the application you wish to access and click "Add Certificate of Liability/Additional Insured." On the next screen, you will be able to add your Additional Insured information. When you click "Finish," you can print the endorsement with a new Certificate of Liability Insurance.

How do I add an Additional Insured?

You will have the opportunity to add an Additional Insured when purchasing your policy. If you need to add an Additional Insured to your policy later, sign in to the system with your username and password. Select the application you wish to access and click "Add Certificate of Liability/Additional Insured." On the next screen, you will be able to add your Additional Insured information. When you click "Finish," you can print the endorsement with a new Certificate of Liability Insurance.

How do I add a Waiver of Subrogation?

To add a Waiver of Subrogation to your policy, you must contact our office and provide us with the information required. Send your request to support@cspi.com

How do I add a Loss Payee?

A Loss Payee endorsement typically provides proof to a rental company, leasing company, mortgagee, or other entity that you have property insurance. To add a Loss Payee to your policy, you must contact our office and provide us with the information required to be shown on the Loss Payee endorsement. Send your request to support@cspi.com

I forgot my username, what do I do?

On the sign-in screen, you can request your username by entering your registered Email address and clicking the "SUBMIT" button. Your username will be Emailed to you. You can also call 1-800-364-2433 Monday through Friday, between 5:30 AM and 5 PM Pacific Standard Time.

How do I get the policy documents once I purchase a policy?

Your policy documents will be available for you to download immediately once you have purchased your CSPI Production Insurance policy. Your documents will also be emailed directly to you in PDF format. If you need to reprint your policy documents, you can sign in anytime to our online platform and view and/or print your policy documents. If you have any problems signing in or would prefer to speak with a customer care representative, please call us and we will assist you.

How does the broker program work?

Register using our online system. Click on the Sign In button to sign up. Just complete the registration form and read and accept the Broker Agreement. You can begin to quote and bind policies immediately, online.

Quotes are saved in our system and can be accessed at a later time, when you are ready to bind coverage. Upon completion, you can print all insurance documents, including all certificates, eliminating any sort of follow up. Click Quote & Buy to start a new quote or sign in to manage an existing quote.
